Bad News. We have just been informed that due to unforeseen issues with the venue which will not be resolved until July, we will not be able to host a Summer Matsuri on the original date.
The good news is that a Summer Matsuri has not been canceled. A Summer Matsuri has been rescheduled to August 30. This date was chosen to avoid conflicting with the upcoming and very busy schedule of summer anime conventions on the east cost.
With the change in date, we would also like to announce that we will be able to have additional events on the evening of Friday, August 29. Stay tuned for information about this and what we expect will be a big (and good) announcement over the next week.
Finally, we would like to offer a sincere apology to everyone who had adjusted their schedules to attend a Summer Matsuri. We realize that some have been changing work schedules, canceling plans, reserving hotel rooms, and preparing costumes for this event, and we are deeply sorry to have this wrench thrown into the works so close to show time.
ICenter in Salem, NH along with staff from Another Anime Convention are proud to announce a new joint venture, called a Summer Matsuri. This one day "mini" convention on June 21, 2008 in the ICenter facility.
The day will be filled with events such as cosplay chess, a masquerade and a Smash Brothers Tournament. There will also be panels and a video game room, and at night it will end with a concert by Echostream and then a dance.

We offer some video games, some panels, a cosplay contest and then a dance. More information will be forthcoming in the next weeks and we hope to see you there!
Congratulations to Shauna Leva, who drew this year's AAC mascot! We had seven awesome entries, and the voting was VERY close. All the entries can be seen here for your enjoyment. If you are one of these talented artists and you haven't contacted us with your information, please email Aka-Chan with your name and website/portfolio link so you can get your due credit!
We should have some nice content updates soon as well. If you want to run a panel at AAC 2008, please take a peek at our events page for registration forms.

Thank you to everyone for making this year our best yet. We hope that you enjoyed all the events, panels, and workshops. We would like to especially thank the special guests, artists, and all our attendees.
10 months of hard work from every one of our staff members went into making this convention the success that it is. Another Anime Convention is still a fresh con, but its success at such a young age is phenomenal.
This year was our second convention, held at the Courtyard by Marriott in Nashua, NH on Friday, October 12th through Sunday the 14th. We hope to continue growing and bringing fun and joy to anime fans in New England.
Dont forget to keep checking back for the latest news and updates. Also visit our forums to chat with friends, look at pictures and videos from the convention and leave feedback.
Sincerely,
Lisa Sussenberger
Convention Chairperson
