Got your lucky golden ticket? Then come with me, and you'll be, in a world of pure imagination. Join us for an evening of music and dancing at AAC's annual formal dance. This year we head into the wonderful world of sweets. Dance the night away with our nerd themed play list, as well as a live piano performance by Matt Mayer's. As always this event is held Friday night of the con. Dress code, and ticket are required for this event, please see below for details.
Tickets: Will be given out on Friday before the dance, at the Masquerade/cosplay table. We will only give out 100 tickets, and they go fast! If you are an AAC VIP 2017 pass holder, you may move to the font of the line and get a ticket. Please come to the table before we give out tickets and show us your VIP pass. Tickets for this event are free.
Dresses/Skirts: Dresses or skirts should be mid thigh length or longer, formal or semi formal is allowed. Also trains on dresses, while lovely, run the risk of getting step on while dancing. Please keep train length in mind while picking out or making your outfit.
Pants: Any type of formal dress pant is allowed, male or female.
Tops: A formal blouse, dress shirt, or any other kind of formal top. Can be accompanied by one or a mix of the following, a formal jacket or blazer, any formal neck wear, and a vest or, cummerbund.
Uniforms: Military dress uniforms, or a school uniform that fits into the above category's.
Shoes: Dress shoes, pumps, sandals, flats, and dress boots, or any other formal shoe wear.
Costumes: All costumes that follow the guideline will be permitted.
Not allowed: Any thing that would not be considered semi formal, such as street clothing, or informal costumes. Large props, they run the risk of being in the way, and pose the possibility of getting ruined, or causing harm.

We involve the audience in asking how they experience this phenomenon. Once established, we then start giving tips and techniques for how to avoid getting into this depression. We involve the audience more by asking veterans how they dealt with Post-Con Depression in order to get more ideas and suggestions. Finally, we talk about what to do if the depression worsens, we also provide resources and contact info if that should happen. As normal we will have our usual array of tea and goodies, as well as games and prizes. To fit the theme this year, we will have our first (and only) chocolate fountain. This event is catered, there will be a $5 fee at the door. If you have an AAC 2017 VIP pass, this event is free. A dressy causal dress code is required for this event.
Dress/skirts/pants: Skirt or dress no shorter then mid thigh, must at lest be dressy casual. Pants slacks, khaki, or a nice dark jean.
Tops: Button up, blouse, polo, sweater, or any thing dressy. Ties and other neck wear are optional.
Shoes: Dressy sandal, heel, dress boot, flats, loafers. Any thing dressy and clean looking.
Also any cultural wear, that fits in with dressy causal (Ex: Kimonos, Yukata)
Costumes: Any costumes at fall under the above. School uniforms are also acceptable so long as they meet the above requirements. More formal attire is welcome but not required.
Please refrain from: Wrinkled or ripped clothing, miniskirts, sneakers, boots or shoes in old condition, or any thing you would not wear to a nice occasion.
