Another Anime Convention is seeking energetic, professional, and motivated individuals to join our fast paced and fun team.
It takes a lot of people working behind the scenes to make the convention run, and we have many opportunities for you to share your talents with the community we all love to be a part of. This could be your year to come aboard and make your mark.
What is the process of apply for staff?
Read the following, fill out this form, and submit it for review. Should you be chosen, we will follow up with you. Following up could be anywhere from an e-mail to an interview for the position.
What is expected of me as a member of AAC staff?
If you are on AAC staff, you are expected to attend a few staff meetings in the months leading up to the convention and be in contact with your department head or Con Chair as needed.
At the convention you are expected to work an 8 hour shift a day, assist attendees with a friendly attitude, and help with the breakdown of the convention.
What do I earn as an AAC staffer?
As an AAC staffer you obtain,
- Crash space at the con.
- Access to the Green Room during the con for meals and snacks.
- Access to the AAC Sunday staff party dinner
- Free registration for the following year.
- Satisfaction of a job well done.

Open Staff Opportunities:
Must be 18 years old or older. Can either sit or stand depending on job requirements. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, walking the halls, checking props/ weapons, line control, and monitoring the entry to 18+ and 21+ events.
This is a department head position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; attracting and registering volunteers at the convention, contacting other departments to determine when volunteers are needed, and keeping track of volunteer hours worked.
Panelist Check in Lead
Responsibilities include but are not limited to; checking in panelists as they arrive at the convention and updating programming staff if panelists fail to check in.
Advertising/ Marketing Team
Responsibilities include but are not limited to; attracting potential businesses to purchase ad space in our program book, and to promote the convention in multiple forms.
This position requires a basic understanding of computers and AV equipment or a desire to learn quickly. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills desired. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; set up and maintenance of the panel room, turning on lights, making sure things are plugged in.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to; manning the cameras in main events, recording other footage for promotional materials and YouTube.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to; photographing convention events and panels, reporting in to the department head each day to turn over photos to be used in the newsletter or other promotional material.
*Must be available most of the day Saturday* Responsibilities include but are not limited to; signing in and checking over the forms of participants in the Masquerade, assisting the coordinators at rehearsal, and lining up the participants pre show, and aiding participants to the staging area back stage, and back to their seats after exiting the stage.
Video Game Staff
Responsibilities include but are not limited to; set up and maintenance of the video game area, monitoring all equipment, assisting attendees with any issues that may arise with the games, closing the area each night, and breaking down the equipment at the end of the convention.
